Requirements

Must:
- I require 2+ years of Cybersecurity Threat Analysis experience in disciplines such as Cybersecurity techniques, Network Analysis, Insider Threat Analysis software, TCP/IP fundamentals, and Windows Operating Systems, including Office applications. Experience in real-world incident management and incident response is essential. - A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited college or university is mandatory. - I seek someone with Information Technology experience in creating knowledge objects and robust queries/searches, along with the ability to create reports and generate charts from these queries/searches using Splunk.

Responsibilities

- I maintain the integrity, security, and availability of the Insider Threat software tool. - I organize and format threat analysis reports, identifying events or incidents that necessitate follow-up actions. - I implement new software or software modifications to meet design and performance requirements. - I administer, maintain, develop, and implement policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of software and reports generated. - I monitor various network logs to ensure proper operation and participate in customer program and technical exchange meetings. - I support the development of long- and short-term analysis and design requirements, including database design, development, and analysis activities. - I perform regularly scheduled database backups to prevent potential data loss and test these backups to ensure data restoration capabilities. - I conduct baseline audits and develop simple database queries, identifying and reporting software bugs for correction. - I assist the Government in building and deploying software and enhancements while providing necessary training. - I make minor modifications to existing software to correct errors or improve performance. - I perform software testing of new releases and upgrades to ensure compatibility with enterprise applications. - I conduct preventive maintenance inspections of software operations, hardware integration, and system logs, monitoring data repositories and resolving any performance issues. - I configure, integrate, and ensure that 3rd-party software patches and updates do not negatively impact monitoring and audit activities. - I maintain data files and control procedures for networked computers, assign passwords, monitor resource usage, and collaborate with management to define information requests. - I leverage best practices and my depth of knowledge to solve complex problems, providing a new perspective on existing solutions while working independently and serving as a resource for less experienced colleagues.

Description

- A TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required for this position. - The physical requirements include the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods, occasional movement within the office, and frequent operation of office machinery such as computers, calculators, and printers. - I frequently communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations, necessitating the ability to exchange accurate information in these scenarios.
