Responsibilities
As an Information Security Technician, Senior, I will support defense analytical and administrative requirements for a Combatant Command (CCMD), Joint Intelligence Operations Center (JIOC). My responsibilities will include:
- Briefing and training on proper command security practices for the Command Security Indoctrination, promoting Security, Education, Training, and Awareness (SETA).
- Updating local security publications as required, consistent with DoD/DIA guidance.
- Providing input into CCMD history reports and maintaining the SSO webpage.
- Inspecting and drafting written feedback in support of the Command Inspection Program.
- Coordinating, tracking, documenting, briefing, training, and issuing courier authorizations.
- Coordinating with customers and Defense Courier Service staff for the delivery/pickup of classified material and providing SME guidance for forward deployed units.
- Identifying and analyzing security vulnerabilities that affect remedial training in support of the Security Incident Program.
- Coordinating and supporting the command Annual/Hurricane Clean Out Program, the Wearable Fitness Device (WFD) Program, the Random Anti-terrorism Measures (RAM) Program, and other security-related programs for the CCMD J2 JIOC.
- Supporting the Information Security Working Group and Tasker Management Program.
Description
To succeed in this position, I need the following:
- Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI with favorable poly.
- US Citizenship Required.
- Desired Education and Experience: A Master’s degree with 12 years of related experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with a total of 17 years of experience as a substitute to the Master’s degree, including at least a portion of my experience within the last 2 years.
- Required: Strong knowledge of security principles, procedures, and technologies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Preferred: Experience in DoD, intelligence, IT, IC, CCMD and/or USCENTCOM.
