Requirements
Must:
We require a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or a related discipline. Alternatively, we will consider candidates with 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree. You should have at least 7 years of software engineering experience on projects involving similar software processes. Expertise in performing requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution is essential. Experience or knowledge with Kubernetes is a must.
We also expect certification in one or more of the following areas, or the ability to obtain one:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional
- Certified Kubernetes Application Developer
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator
Additionally, you must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
Responsibilities
As part of our team, you will perform requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution. Your duties will include modifying software and algorithms originally designed for traditional environments to operate in cloud environments, as well as providing support for platforms and services based on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and those running in a Kubernetes Orchestration Platform.
You will also support the transition of operational systems and applications from traditional platforms to containerized/serverless environments, maintain and integrate software into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and ensure the smooth operation of systems utilizing Kubernetes.
