Requirements
Must:
- A Master's degree with 15+ years of relevant experience or a PhD with 13+ years of relevant experience.
- An active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.
- 7+ years of hands-on application development utilizing the Marklogic framework.
- Strong analytical and design skills, capable of translating business requirements into effective technical designs within large-scale enterprise environments.
- Experience in developing service-oriented architecture applications.
- A good understanding of Object-Oriented Design and Design Patterns.
- Experience implementing the Marklogic java-client-api within an enterprise application.
- Strong knowledge of XQuery, FLWOR queries, JavaScript, Marklogic, SPARQL, RDF data, XML Data, triple-stores, XML Processing.
- Experience with Marklogic Entity Models and building Marklogic data hubs.
- Experience with Unix/Shell scripting.
- In-depth experience in Java and data processing, manipulation, or querying (SQL or NoSQL).
- Proficient with Agile practices in service-oriented environments.
- In-depth experience in the software development lifecycle, particularly in DevOps toolsets/practices.
- Direct experience using software testing performance tools, such as Junit.
- Experience with scripting languages, such as Python and Bash.
- Experience in an Agile development environment.
- Experience with development in Commercial Cloud Platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and leveraging cloud data services (e.g., S3, RDS, EFS).
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
Responsibilities
- Design and develop solutions that integrate Marklogic with existing enterprise platforms and systems.
- Develop XQuery, JavaScript, and REST modules on the Marklogic technology stack.
- Create Entity models and utilize the Marklogic library to support GRC initiatives.
- Participate in software programming initiatives to support innovation and enhancement, using technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, Python, SpringBoot, and Hibernate.
- Direct software system validation and testing methods using Junit and Katalon.
- Develop and integrate custom software solutions leveraging automated deployment technologies.
- Prototype and deploy solutions within Commercial Cloud Solutions, utilizing Infrastructure platform services.
- Collaborate closely with team members, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters to ensure alignment and implementation of User Stories for customer use cases.
- Analyze infrastructure needs driven by developed software through proof of concept, performance, and end-to-end testing.
- Support the Agile software development lifecycle following Program SAFe practices.
- Utilize industry-leading DevOps tools like GitHub, Jenkins, and Unix bash scripting.
- Document and perform systems software development, including the deployment of build artifacts across different environments.
- Communicate key project data to team members to foster cohesion and effectiveness.
- Leverage tools from the Atlassian suite, such as JIRA and Confluence, to track activities.
- Apply and identify best practices and standard operating procedures.
- Create innovative solutions to meet the technical needs of our customers.
Description
We have an immediate need for a Java developer to act as our Marklogic Subject Matter Expert (SME) and provide Agile DevOps support for mission-critical systems. As the Marklogic SME on our program, you will have the opportunity to develop robust systems, software, and cloud environments while maintaining operations for critical systems. We seek candidates who are passionate about designing, developing, and implementing Marklogic code and data within our technology initiatives, all within a DevOps framework that encompasses the entire software development lifecycle. Please note that the pay range for this position is $144,300.00 - $260,850.00. Our pay range is a general guide and not a guarantee of compensation; various factors, including job responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, contribute to extending an offer.
