Requirements
Must:
- US Citizen
- Must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related STEM or engineering discipline required and 3 years of related professional experience
- Relevant experience performing engineering activities in the Government (military and/or civil servant), federally funded research and development center, or profit or non-profit Government support, or development contractor arena
- Must have SAFe for Teams & AWS Dev Ops Engineer certification within 6 months of start date
- Experience in programming languages (at least 2): React, Angular, Python, JavaScript, CSS, & HTML, Databases, SQL, Gitlab, & Artifactory
- Familiarity & knowledge with: Apache Spark, Kubernetes, Kafka, SIMP Project, Ansible, Docker, GIT, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Suricata, Zeek, Kibana, Logstash, Elastic Search, Neo4J, PostgreSQL, AWS Cloud & Nifi
- Experience or knowledge in areas such as Agile software development, agile methodologies, software project management, defensive cyber military operations, software development life cycle management, program/project management, systems engineering, strategic planning, and cross-functional teams
Responsibilities
- Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve pipeline experience.
- Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems.
- Perform root cause analysis for development environment errors.
- Investigate and resolve technical CI/CD issues.
- Develop scripts to automate visualization.
- Identify technical problems and develop software updates and fixes.
- Build and implement new development tools and infrastructure.
Description
Leidos is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer (Mid-level) to support the United States Space Force (USSF) by developing software in support of the Space Systems Command (SSC) Cyber Operations Branch, focusing on rapid agile development of defensive cyber solutions. We are looking for a leader and problem solver with a proven ability to deliver superior results as part of a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred qualifications include a Top Secret (TS) security clearance (with SCI and SAP eligibility) and relevant DoD and/or industry work experience in Space Systems Command, especially within the Defensive Cyber Operations (SSC/SZWO) program office.
The pay range for this position is $67,600.00 - $122,200.00. Please note that this pay range is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
