Requirements

Must:
We require a BA degree with 10-18 years of prior relevant experience, or a Masterโ€™s degree with 10 years of prior relevant experience. We consider experience in lieu of education. The ideal candidate should possess very strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, as well as exceptional leadership skills in a technical IT or cyber work center. An active Secret clearance is mandatory, and the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance is required for consideration. Preferred qualifications include IAT Level III, IAM Level III, and an ITIL foundation or higher. Previous experience with defensive cyber operations, supporting the Air Force Cyber or Cyber Command, and working with Defense Readiness Reporting Systems (DRRS) or Joint Command and Control โ€“ Readiness (JCC2-R) reporting for CYBERCOM units is advantageous. Experience as a Reddit moderator or Wikipedia editor, or similar methods for updating technical documents, is also preferred.

Responsibilities

As the IT Operations Manager, I will serve as the direct counterpart to Senior Leaders in the Customer Organization. I will lead and supervise a team of approximately 40 personnel across tier 1, 2, and 3 NOC/SOC operations, as well as coordinate cyber training and tech writing to support the Air Force cyber defense systems. My role includes ensuring the functionality of systems that enable airmen to perform their defensive cyber missions, managing the development and presentation of training for defensive cyber airmen and internal technicians, and guiding the technical writing efforts for PMO systems. I will direct the release and transition management processes, ensuring all maintenance teams and operational airmen are prepared for new hardware and software solutions. I will also lead trend analysis on incidents to inform the engineering team of necessary corrective actions, and briefly present to Air Force commanders on the status of PMO-provided equipment to uphold Air Force and CYBERCOM readiness standards.
