Requirements
Must:
We require a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another STEM field with a minimum of 13 years of related work experience, or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of related work experience. You should have at least 5 years of demonstrated technical leadership in the design, analysis, development, production, and operation of space-based sensors. An extensive understanding of the national security space community and missions is essential. Strong technical leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to mentor and lead technical teams, are required. A current DoD Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI, is necessary.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will have you serve as a technical expert while driving innovation and modernization for space-based payloads and technologies, including EO/IR and RF sensors. You will support the development of new sensor concepts through modeling & simulation, prototyping, and analysis. Leading an investment portfolio designed to strengthen and grow our capabilities in sensor payload design, development, and production at scale will be part of your duties. You will work closely with program execution, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to develop and execute robust product roadmaps for sensor payloads and key technologies. Engaging with Growth teams to understand critical mission needs, develop business strategies, and potentially market solutions will be essential. Additionally, you will serve as the technical lead for new business captures that require innovative sensing solutions and collaborate across the company, including with executive leadership, to support our overall space strategies.
Description
As a member of the Aerospace Systems Business Area within our Defense Systems Sector, you will lead the technical development of space-based sensing solutions. We deliver sensors at scale to serve multiple national security customers, playing a critical role in rapidly evolving and scaling space-based missions. The preferred base locations for this role are Huntsville, AL; San Diego, CA; Chantilly/Reston/Arlington, VA; or Denver/Colorado Springs, CO. The selected candidate is expected to travel approximately 25% of the time. Additionally, we've highlighted preferred qualifications such as 10+ years supporting national security space missions, experience as a solution architect or technical volume lead for medium to large-sized efforts, and a strong grasp of Digital Engineering principles. The anticipated pay range for this position is between $148,850.00 and $269,075.00, which serves as a guideline to help determine compensation based on various factors related to the role.
