Requirements
Must:
- I require a current SECRET DoD or DoE clearance.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent professional experience is necessary.
- I expect at least 5 years of relevant work experience in a related technical field (e.g., cybersecurity, software development, or systems administration), with a minimum of two years of specific experience in cybersecurity.
- The ability to travel to support customer interactions around the Denver metro area is essential.
- I value attention to detail and good verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred candidates will have:
- Current TOP SECRET clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information.
- Demonstrated experience with the development and management of systems accreditation packages under the Risk Management Framework (NIST 800-53), including the development of artifacts in eMASS.
- Experience with the Secure Software Development Framework (SSDF, NIST 800-218) or other experiences in software development and software architecture security.
- Experience with the design, architecture, and security engineering of custom software applications.
- A CISSP or an alternate certification that satisfies DoD Cyber Workforce Framework qualifications for the Security Architect role.
Responsibilities
- I expect you to coordinate closely with customer cybersecurity subject matter experts to ensure that SciTec software aligns with customer security requirements and needs.
- You will develop software requirements and implementation guidance based on an analysis of NIST 800-53 or other security controls.
- Documenting and generating evidence detailing how SciTec software systems address NIST 800-53 and other security controls is crucial. Where gaps exist, you will develop and manage Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs) to address those gaps.
- Evaluating results and identifying remedial actions based on security evaluations and penetration tests is essential.
- I expect you to support SciTec development teams in designing system architectures that meet established cybersecurity requirements and align with customer needs.
- Providing support to staff mentoring and process improvement within the SciTec cybersecurity and software engineering teams is part of the role.
- You may have additional duties as required and assigned.

For this immediate opportunity in our Boulder, CO office, I am offering a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $94,000 per year. This decision considers various factors, including the role’s responsibilities, your work experience, education/training, and key skills.
