Requirements
Must:
- Active Secret clearance is required.
- I must have at least 10 years of experience in architecting and deploying solutions across various public cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- A strong grasp of cloud governance frameworks, tagging strategies, IAM, and cloud resource provisioning policies is essential.
- Experience in implementing FinOps practices and cloud cost modeling within government funding or chargeback models is necessary.
- I should possess a working knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and the Authority to Operate (ATO) processes, including required documentation and lifecycle phases (SSP, POA&M, etc.).
- Familiarity with DISA STIGs, Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) principles, and DoD cloud security standards is important.
- I will need robust analytical, communication, and documentation skills to effectively engage with stakeholders across technical, security, and mission domains.
- A Bachelor's Degree in a related technical field is required.
- US Citizenship is mandatory.
Responsibilities
- I will design and support secure, scalable, and compliant multi-cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP, ensuring alignment with Department of Defense (DoD) mission requirements and best practices for cloud security.
- Providing technical leadership and developing solutions in line with cloud service offerings and business objectives will be my responsibility.
- I will collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into efficient and secure technical solutions while staying updated on evolving DoD cloud policies.
- My role will include creating resilient, cloud-native solutions featuring front-end components, back-end services, and APIs using modern cloud technologies.
- I will implement DevOps practices by establishing automated CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure provisioning, and configuration management using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Azure DevOps.
- Developing and executing both automated and manual test plans to validate cloud-native solutions for various operational criteria is expected.
- I will document solution architectures, testing protocols, and production support procedures to guarantee consistent knowledge transfer and operational continuity.
- Establishing and maintaining monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure operational stability and support incident response will be part of my duties.
- I will apply cloud governance frameworks, including tagging standards, resource lifecycle management, access controls, and policy enforcement across diverse cloud environments.
- Designing cloud architectures in accordance with Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) principles will be essential in my role.
- I will support financial operations initiatives to optimize cloud expenditure and enhance budget accountability within DoD environments.
- Ensuring that architectural decisions and operational practices meet DoD compliance objectives, along with contributing to secure cloud provisioning and system hardening efforts using infrastructure-as-code (IaC), is crucial.
- I will engage with cross-functional teams to articulate change requirements and provide technical guidance to ensure alignment with mission and business objectives.
- Identifying opportunities for innovation and process enhancement to improve solution performance, security, and cost efficiency will be encouraged.
