Cloud Kafka Architect

In this role, you will be expected to: - Lead and organize a team of Kafka administrators and developers, assigning tasks, and facilitating weekly Kafka Technical Review meetings. - Collaborate with customers to explore expanded use of Kafka within the Agency. - Strategize within our company to identify opportunities for exploring new technologies for Kafka. - Architect, design, code, and implement next-generation data streaming and event-based architecture on Confluent Kafka. - Define the strategy for streaming data to a data warehouse and integrating event-based architecture with microservice-based applications. - Establish best practices and standards for implementing the Kafka platform based on identified use cases and required integration patterns. - Mentor existing team members by sharing expert knowledge to build a high-performing team in our event-driven architecture. - Provide software expertise in areas such as application integration, enterprise services, service-oriented architectures (SOA), and data modeling. - Troubleshoot and resolve any platform issues in a hands-on capacity. - Communicate with management, customers, or vendors using appropriate technical language and share insights on Kafka-based solutions.
