Responsibilities
As a C++ Software Engineer/Developer at General Dynamics Information Technology, I will engage in advanced technology projects that push the limits of innovation. My responsibilities include:
- Performing software tasks across the development lifecycle from research, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Utilizing technical knowledge to creatively resolve issues and help meet financial and business objectives.
- Proficiency in various programming paradigms, including functional programming, algorithms, parallel and distributed processing, multi-threaded programming, cloud computing, scientific computing, and object-oriented design.
- Familiarity with frameworks and libraries such as Agile methodologies, AWS services, and traditional web services.
- Experience with operational systems, with an emphasis on Linux and Windows/NT.
- Implementing microservices architecture and engaging in the complete software engineering lifecycle.
- Knowledge of Continuous Development/Continuous Integration (CD/CI) technologies, including but not limited to Docker Containers, GitLab, and Kubernetes.
- Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and proficiency in modern C++ standards (C++11, C++14, C++17).
