Requirements
Must:
- U.S. citizenship with an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in developing applications on both simulated and target hardware
- Proficiency in using a Real-Time Operating System (RTOS), such as Green Hills Integrity, VxWorks, or similar
Responsibilities
As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer within L3Harris Integrated Mission Systems, I will engage in translating requirements into effective and maintainable solutions for our C5 and Cyber Solution Centers. My role includes applying technical skills throughout various stages of the software development life cycle (SDLC), in addition to gathering requirements and collaborating closely with stakeholders to prioritize and define tasks. As a key member of a Scrum team, I will significantly contribute to shaping our strategy for both product and infrastructure development. Essential functions of this position involve supporting fellow engineering team members as a subject matter expert in embedded software development, investigating complex issues, and implementing solutions either independently or collaboratively with a multi-discipline team. Furthermore, I will apply concepts from computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to create software for the target hardware and work closely with cross-functional teams to design and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software.
