Requirements

Must:
- I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related scientific or technical field. - I have a minimum of 7 years of experience in Information Assurance/Cybersecurity. - I am a key developer of system security plans, Security Assessment Plans/Reports, Risk Assessment Plans/Reports, and associated cybersecurity artifacts. - I possess experience working in a system program office that is fielding a new capability. - I can translate cybersecurity-related policies and guidance into system requirements effectively. - I coordinate with customers to establish priorities and lead solution development for approval. - I can communicate complex cybersecurity concepts clearly and logically to secure customer support. - I am dedicated to mentoring junior team members to enhance System Security Engineering skills and improve customer support. - I have familiarity with cybersecurity assessment and authorization processes, including the Risk Management Framework. - I understand mission-based risk assessment methodologies used by the DoD. - I have knowledge of common vulnerabilities and the application of compensating controls or mitigation strategies. - I am well-versed in cybersecurity policies and processes, architectures, and testing and evaluation procedures. - I can articulate complex security concepts during cross-functional planning and execution across systems engineering and integration activities. - I am adept at sorting through complex issues, prioritizing them, and escalating them to management as necessary. - I possess strong written and verbal communication skills. - I understand risk management principles and their application to information systems. - I am familiar with key management and cryptographic concepts. - I have experience with system integration and test and evaluation activities required by the DoD acquisition framework. - I have a current U.S. DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance and I am a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

- I lead IT architecture design reviews to evaluate and ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements. - I ensure that cybersecurity principles are integrated into systems engineering efforts for both ground and space systems. - I incorporate the Risk Management Framework throughout the system acquisition lifecycle. - I develop, coordinate, and implement cybersecurity strategies as a component of the Program Protection Plan. - I create, review, and assess RMF-related artifacts to ensure the acceptable implementation of cybersecurity principles. - I evaluate and apply government cybersecurity policies and instructions as necessary. - I conduct program and technical risk assessments to determine required cybersecurity protection measures. - I consult with customers and developers to implement System Security Engineering principles and develop suitable cybersecurity architectures. - I interface with other government organizations during the security evaluation of engineering design solutions. - I provide technical security evaluation support during contractor assessments and authorization activities. - I integrate cybersecurity assessments into developmental and operational testing and evaluation plans. - I assess the effectiveness of implemented protection measures within the authorization boundaries. - I plan and lead mission-based cyber risk assessments to evaluate the system's security and provide resilient capabilities to the warfighter.
