Requirements
Must:
We require candidates to hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and/or Business, or a Diploma in IT and/or Business with equivalent IT experience. Candidates should ideally be SAFe SP Certified or in the process of obtaining this and/or possess other industry-recognized agile certifications. Additionally, we are looking for individuals with:
- 8+ years of automation testing experience
- Strong practical experience programming algorithms with JAVA
- 4+ years of experience working with the industry-standard functional automation test tool (Selenium)
- Working experience with industry-standard API automation test tools (REST-Assured)
- Familiarity with CICD-Jenkins
- Experience using git/bitbucket for automation code contributions, and standard test management tools like JIRA
- Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries
- Experience in a client-facing role or direct interaction with Client Stakeholders, Senior Management, and/or technology partners
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- A positive attitude and the ability to build consensus and resolve interpersonal challenges
- The capacity to build strong relationships with clients and team members
- The ability to present information and ideas clearly, concisely, and in an organized manner
Responsibilities
As a professional IT consultant, I will expect you to work on a large, long-term project for one of the major North American Banking and Financial institutions. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Performing requirements analysis and quality risk analysis
- Supporting the creation of Test Strategies & Test Plans, including the design and development of test case automation
- Developing and maintaining test cases, automated scripts, and traceability matrices
- Facilitating the identification and preparation of test data
- Applying the principles of Behavior Driven Development (BDD) with a focus on value-driven outcomes
- Implementing functional and non-functional automation approaches, frameworks, script development, and execution
- Ensuring automated tests are integrated into CI/CD/CT pipelines
- Managing source code and leveraging tools and engineering practices effectively
- Following quality processes while executing system and integration test scripts
- Detecting, logging, and retesting defects
- Participating in Lessons Learned Sessions and knowledge transition activities
- Communicating progress of testing activities to the team/test lead or directly to the client
- Producing internal and client status reports
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of software testing best practices, methodologies, and terminologies
- Coaching and mentoring other members of the team
