Requirements

Must:
- High school diploma or GED. - 2+ years of experience in design, including multi-platform applications, product, graphic design, digital media, or related fields. - A portfolio is required for review prior to the interview. - Preferred: Bachelor's degree in art, computer science, or a technical field.

Responsibilities

In this role, I will be responsible for: - Creating high-level design concepts that transform user needs into practical layouts, typography, and visual hierarchies, ensuring a seamless user experience that aligns with our intended design vision. - Designing components or patterns within our existing design systems and style guides, focusing on user needs while enhancing the cohesiveness of the Paycom experience for users. - Collaborating closely with product managers and development teams, using my insight and design strategy to influence product direction and maintain alignment with business objectives. - Building upon existing design systems and producing mock-ups that provide a consistent Paycom experience. - Leveraging research data, design principles, and other objective information to guide my design choices. - Planning and participating in usability testing, analyzing usability data reports, and iterating on designs based on user feedback. - Balancing workloads effectively to ensure successful project delivery and engaging in complex problem-solving alongside my team.

Description

This position requires advanced skills in data collection techniques and crafting design products based on data analysis. I should demonstrate proficiency in information architecture, user flows, and cross-platform flows. A solid understanding of our department's vision, the development process, and interdependencies, as well as familiarity with frameworks outside the Product Management department, is essential. Creativity, originality, and strong communication skills are paramount for conveying complex ideas clearly. The physical demands of the job necessitate that I remain stationary and navigate within the office, with regular use of office productivity tools. The work environment is typical of an office setting, with moderate noise levels and comfortable temperature conditions.
