Must:
We require candidates to hold a Bachelor’s Degree and possess over four years of experience, or a combination of education and work experience totaling more than eight years. You should have a strong understanding of various cabling methods, industry standards, troubleshooting techniques, and the ability to read and comprehend cable run lists. Experience with the installation of endpoints, including but not limited to desktop IT equipment, printers, VoIP and digital phones, and network switches is essential. Additionally, we expect you to have experience resolving technical issues and responding to inquiries related to computer hardware, networking, and telecommunications systems.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will support every aspect of phone installations and troubleshoot a variety of telephones. You will be responsible for the installation, pulling, terminating, and proper dressing of cabling in accordance with industry and sponsor standards. You will also troubleshoot and repair faulty connections, dropped calls, and hardware problems. Configuring call routing, voicemail, extensions, and phone features will be key responsibilities as well. Local travel may be necessary between customer buildings, or you may be temporarily assigned to alternate locations for special projects. As part of a diverse team, you will provide coverage from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with flexibility to support 24/7 operations. Extended hours may be required during peak times, and you must be available to accommodate last-minute requests.

Preferred qualifications include relevant work experience in IT hardware and cabling installation, experience with implementation on the sponsor's network LAN infrastructure, and the ability to adapt swiftly to changing tasks and requirements. A current and active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is mandatory. Additionally, candidates must be able to remain stationary for at least 25% of the time, consistently operate a computer, phone, and other office equipment for extended durations, and be able to navigate between buildings and offices most of the time. You will need to position yourself to maintain equipment and cabling, including working under desks, moving floor tiles, and accessing server closets, some of which may be confined spaces. You should be capable of moving audio/visual or computer equipment weighing over 50 pounds, which may require team assistance or the use of carts, as well as the ability to ascend and descend ladders, exceeding 10 feet high, while pulling cables and adjusting equipment.
