Requirements

Must:
- I require a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree with over 4 years of experience or a Master’s degree with 2 or more years in the field (additional relevant experience may be accepted in place of a degree). - You must possess an active DoD IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+) or an equivalent prior to starting. - I expect demonstrated experience in supporting Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW). - Knowledge of Software Defined Networking (SDN) concepts is essential. - I look for proven experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware. - Experience with Red Hat is important. - I need hands-on experience with InfoVista. - You should have experience working with at least two of the following vendor network technologies: Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Dell, or AppGate. - A history of using ServiceNow is required. - I expect familiarity with networking concepts and protocols: LAN, WAN, BGP, TCP/UDP, IPSec, VPN, Routing (L2/L3), and Firewalls. - Experience with one or more enterprise network management tools such as Palo Alto Panorama, Cisco Prime, Cisco DNA, or Junos Space is necessary. - Familiarity with protocols including SFTP, SSH, SCP, SNMP, and NTP is essential. - You must be capable of working within a team to lead troubleshooting efforts and resolve intricate network issues. - I value excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

- You will operate and maintain secure network solutions functioning as a centralized enterprise capability for the US Army. - I expect you to support 24/7 AGUN operations aimed at delivering updates to the Global Cyber Center (GCC) to enhance command and control of the AGUN network. - You will execute standard policy and configuration changes to the AGUN network, as well as handle common remediation workflows that are pre-approved. - You will manage, triage, track, and update workflows and service tickets in both JIRA Service Desk and GCC Service Now. - I need you to provide situational awareness regarding the status of ticket resolutions and deliver status updates as directed by the GCC. - You will escalate tickets and issues through the JIRA Service Desk to higher-tier teams as necessary. - You will collaborate with key stakeholders and technical specialists to assess current capabilities, configurations, and requirements to extend tier III support for the Army global network. - I expect you to collect, investigate, and identify network optimization strategies and techniques to meet capacity and performance standards.

- I would like to see preferred qualifications including a Certified Cisco Network Professional (CCNP) or an equivalent certification. - Demonstrated experience in Linux shell scripting is advantageous. - Experience with GitLab source control and CI/CD pipeline development is a plus. - Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence is beneficial. - Experience in handling trouble tickets and escalations is favorable. - Exposure to NetSecOps technologies, including salt, Git, Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, and network element managers is desired. - Knowledge of Network Performance Management tools (SNMP, NETMON, LiveAction) is appreciated. - Proven experience with any two or more technologies such as Netflow, Elastic, Kafka, Grafana, Prometheus, or Nexus Repo is a plus. - I value expertise in the design and enhancement of complex, geographically diverse enterprise networks. - Expert knowledge of US Army security requirements for network infrastructure is highly regarded. This role is contingent upon possessing and maintaining an active DoD SECRET security clearance, and you will be expected to work rotating shifts. The estimated pay range for this position is between $72,150.00 and $130,425.00, reflecting the general guideline without guaranteeing specific compensation, which will depend on various factors including job responsibilities, education, and experience.
