Requirements

Must:
We are looking for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, cybersecurity, or a technical discipline, along with at least eight (8) years of relevant experience. Candidates should possess expertise in various cybersecurity domains, particularly in designing, implementing, operating, monitoring, and evaluating security controls for cloud-based systems such as AWS. Substantial experience in utilizing diverse tools and resources to identify cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, configuration flaws, and other weaknesses is essential for determining root causes and managing remediation strategies. Hands-on coding experience is preferred, particularly in developing tools and automation to customize, enhance, and optimize security controls. A solid understanding of common cybersecurity vulnerabilities and attack patterns is required, along with the ability to describe how they are exploited and countered. Experience in supporting compliance with security frameworks, particularly NIST 800, is advantageous. We expect candidates to showcase intellectual curiosity and attention to detail, supported by robust verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

In this role, I will entrust you with managing and communicating cybersecurity threats, risks, and the status of controls to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and relevant stakeholders. You will be responsible for implementing and operating security controls and automation across multiple cybersecurity subdomains, ensuring that these controls are well-structured, effectively applied, and aligned with our organizational policies. You will design and implement automated solutions to manage cybersecurity risks efficiently. Utilizing various tools and resources, you will identify cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities while determining root causes and managing remediation strategies. Furthermore, I expect you to facilitate and support security event and incident response activities. You will also define, enforce, and promote information security policies along with related governance artifacts and processes while ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory and contractual obligations. Finally, managing security vendor relationships and ensuring their compliance with contractual commitments will be part of your duties.
