Requirements

Must:
We require candidates to have a High School Diploma paired with over three years of experience in Security Operations, Cyber Security, and/or Systems Administration. You should have familiarity with SIEM, IDS, EDR, and Case Management Tools, as well as experience supporting operating systems, networking, scripting, automation, and troubleshooting Security Applications. An active 8140 Certification, such as CompTIA Security+, is also necessary.

Responsibilities

As our Cybersecurity Analyst for Evenings, your duties will encompass monitoring the Operations Center IT infrastructure for a 24/7 mission-critical SECOPs function. You will conduct event analysis within SIEM, utilizing systems to generate response tickets within our case management tools. Additionally, you will troubleshoot and work in coordination with TIER 2 Analysts for event escalations and adhere to established security playbooks for various environments. You will also be responsible for enhancing our Security Posture through compliance with detection and response measures. A customer-first attitude is essential. Please note that your work shift will be from Monday to Friday, 3 PM to 11 PM, with potential schedule adjustments based on business needs.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a similar field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience with SOC systems/networks and supporting Security Detections Development is advantageous. We value candidates who have experience in security alert tuning, collaborating with TIER 2 and TIER 3 (Engineering) Teams, and scripting to automate common tasks. Furthermore, experience in generating Threat Reports by translating IOCs and alerts into narrative summaries, as well as understanding local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN) and mobile computing environments, will be beneficial. Knowledge of STIG and hardening practices is also appreciated. A security clearance level of active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required. Physical requirements include the ability to frequently move audio/visual or computer equipment weighing up to 50 pounds across and/or around our business campus or large facility. You should occasionally navigate inside the office to access filing cabinets and office machinery. Effective communication with co-workers, management, and customers is essential, which may involve delivering presentations. You will often need to position yourself to maintain equipment, including accessing areas under desks and in network closets.
