Requirements
Must:
- A valid DoD TS/SCI Clearance is mandatory.
- A current security certification is required in alignment with DoD 8140, with the ability to obtain an appropriate computing environment certification within six months. Must meet DoD 8570 IAT/IAM level III equivalent.
- A minimum of six years of experience in networking, specifically with a focus on Juniper and Cisco Systems.
- Capability to understand a diverse range of unique skills and respond swiftly to real-time data flow challenges.
- Advanced knowledge concerning TCP/IP technology, including IP addressing and subnet masking.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting network issues within both LAN and extensive WAN settings, including firewalls and network taps.
- Proficient in utilizing standard networking troubleshooting tools, for instance, iPerf and Wireshark.
- Familiarity with all tools within the Microsoft Office Suite (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio).
- Strong writing and verbal communication abilities.
- Demonstrated experience in offering support within complex technical environments.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, effectively engaging with leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to train and mentor staff in technical and operational fields.
Responsibilities
- Serve as network support for NSOC operations, diagnosing and resolving intricate technical challenges affecting systems and networks.
- Supervise and manage networking systems while showcasing expertise in Juniper and Cisco technologies.
- Provide training and mentorship to operators, ensuring their proficiency in operational processes and technical systems.
- Collaborate with C2NSOC leadership to deliver regular updates, recommendations, and insights that align with operational objectives.
- Implement modifications and optimize networking systems to improve reliability and performance.
- Work alongside Tier 3 engineering to manage deployment changes for production network devices.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies in networking and communications.
Description
We are currently seeking a Cyber Security Engineer / Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to join our Multi-Domain Solutions Division. Our team is dedicated to supporting the Advanced Battle Management System’s (ABMS) Digital Infrastructure Network Manager program within the Department of the Air Force. In this key role, you will help in establishing a unified command-and-control framework that connects and integrates sensors, data streams, and weapon systems across all domains—air, land, sea, cyber, and space. This effort is crucial for enabling U.S. forces and our allies to swiftly interpret and act on a vast amount of data, outpacing adversarial responses. The NOC Specialist will play a vital role by providing advanced technical expertise and operational leadership on the C2NSOC operations floor, focusing on networking operations and operator training. Preferred qualifications include industry certifications in networking, such as Juniper or Cisco CCNA/CCNP, experience with configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing Juniper Session Smart Routers, and familiarity with TACLANES and Network Encryption Devices. Familiarity with operational support protocols for mission environments is also advantageous.
