Requirements
Must:
- I seek candidates with 3+ years of experience in information security, incident response, digital forensics, and/or incident response consulting.
- Applicants should have experience with host, network, and/or memory forensics.
- Proficiency in using various network and/or host-based security tools (e.g., SIEM, web proxy, intrusion detection/prevention) to detect and respond to security events is essential.
- Candidates must possess theoretical and practical security knowledge and investigation experience with Mac, Linux, and Windows operating systems, as well as cloud environments.
- A strong understanding of incident response lifecycles is required.
- The ability to convey complex technical concepts to audiences with varying levels of technical ability is crucial.
Responsibilities
- I will expect you to conduct host forensics, network forensics, log analysis, and malware triage in support of incident response investigations and partner concerns from junior analysts across Windows, Mac, Linux, and Cloud platforms.
- You will participate in incident response and crisis management activities.
- Advising leadership on containment, eradication, and recovery strategies during incident response will be part of your responsibilities.
- Fully scoping incidents through proper identification of all affected systems and/or accounts is essential.
- You should recognize attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures, as well as Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) / Indicators of Attack (IOAs) applicable to current and future investigations.
- Contributing to team projects, process improvement, and development of new capabilities will also be expected.
- You will curate a world-class security operations and incident response team with a relentless focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
- Assessing and developing incident response standard methodologies to help mature our overall security operations will be important.
- You will make recommendations for improving the enterprise risk posture based on your individual research and technical expertise.
- Staying current on industry trends, attack techniques, mitigation techniques, and security technologies will be essential.
- Producing high-quality written and verbal reports, recommendations, and actions will be part of your job.
- Participation in an on-call rotation and providing after-hours support as needed is also expected.
