Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience with technical data center or telecommunications infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of fiber optic infrastructure design and construction.
- Experience managing outsourced engineering teams and vendor relationships.
- Experience reviewing and marking up construction drawings and site plans.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with data center site design review, drafting, or consulting.
- Proficiency in Salesforce, GIS platforms, and data visualization tools.
- Background in quality assurance or quality control programs.
- Deep knowledge of civil and telecom design requirements for data centers.
- Experience creating and maintaining performance dashboards using PowerBI, Tableau, or QuickSight.
- Strong understanding of technical drawing standards and drafting principles.
- Demonstrated experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar CAD software.
Responsibilities
As a Fiber Delivery Technical Infrastructure Program Manager (FD-TIPM), you will be responsible for managing highly technical, cost-efficient, and fast-paced communication construction project schedules to support AWS Network growth. You will drive the implementation and operation of a comprehensive global Quality Control design review program. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading a program of internal and external Quality Control Fiber Design Engineers conducting infrastructure reviews.
- Establishing and implementing standardized design review processes to ensure compliance with AWS fiber infrastructure standards.
- Overseeing the development and maintenance of engineering documentation and reference materials.
- Developing and maintaining design review checklists and quality control documentation.
- Creating and maintaining performance dashboards and KPIs to measure program effectiveness.
- Collaborating with Data Center Engineering teams to integrate fiber requirements into existing platforms and workflows.
- Building and maintaining strategic vendor relationships, including developing vendor KPIs and performance metrics.
- Driving process improvements through data analysis and stakeholder feedback.
- Leading regular executive updates and cross-functional team communications.
- Managing program budget and resource allocation across global regions.
