Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates with a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field and twelve (12) years of experience in a large and complex IT environment. Alternatively, a master's degree with ten (10) years of experience will also be considered. If you do not have a bachelor’s degree, five (5) years of full-time computer science experience along with at least ten (10) years in a complex IT environment is required. An industry-recognized professional certification can substitute for one year of experience.
You should have experience with the installation, configuration, tuning, and support of:
- Multi-vendor servers running various commercial, open-source, and in-house applications for HPC division IT support.
- Multi-vendor servers executing Redhat or SUSE with direct attached, FC SAN storage or SSDs.
- Distributed computing tools like RES, LSF, and SLURM.
- HPC farm systems and HPC MPP clustered systems, including Front End servers of SPDs.
- IBM or HP Blade servers with FC/SAS/Network backend.
- Multi-vendor file systems such as XFS, GPFS, and Lustre.
- Pre-Factory testing, factory testing, system integration, and acceptance testing during the purchase process of HPC systems.
IAT Level II Certification is required. Accepted professional IAT Level II certifications include RHCSA or higher Red Hat certification, and/or VMware certification. Moreover, you must possess a TS/SCI clearance with FS polygraph.
Responsibilities
As a Senior System Administrator, you will manage essential infrastructure services, ensuring high availability and performance of data center services, physical and virtual server-class systems, and storage. You will lead medium-to-large scale projects, design and implement system policies, conduct advanced troubleshooting, and play a pivotal role in recovery efforts during critical system failures. Mentoring Tier I/II/III staff members will also be part of your responsibilities.
You will need the ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team to ensure projects are completed on time.
Description
The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos currently has an immediate need for an experienced System Administrator – IV HPC for a new customer on a strategic High-Performance Computing (HPC) program. We are seeking a self-starter with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, flexibility, good judgment, and the ability to work collaboratively to enhance the HPC capabilities for our customer.
While we anticipate this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days, the closing date may change based on business needs. The Leidos pay range for this job level is $112,450.00 - $203,275.00, serving as a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Factors such as responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered in extending an offer.
