Requirements
Must:
- 10+ years of experience in IT support roles, with a minimum of 5 years at L2/L3 level in an MSP or similar multi-client setting.
- Strong practical experience with Microsoft ecosystems including Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, as well as networking fundamentals like TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
- Established history of resolving intricate escalations and engaging in technical projects.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+/Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, CCNA, or comparable.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, strong customer-facing communication skills, and the capacity to juggle multiple tasks under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support for environments involving Windows/Linux servers, Microsoft 365/Azure, networking (firewalls, switches, VPNs), virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), backups, and endpoint management.
- Diagnose and resolve escalated issues related to complex infrastructure, applications, and security, while adhering to SLA requirements.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for significant incidents and implement preventive strategies.
- Engage in client projects, encompassing system migrations, infrastructure upgrades, new deployments, and technological refresh initiatives.
- Document troubleshooting procedures, generate and maintain comprehensive runbooks/playbooks, and contribute to the internal knowledge database.
- Utilize RMM and PSA platforms (e.g., SyncroMSP) for ticket management, alerting, and reporting.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical escalations.
- Mentor L1/L2 technicians, sharing best practices for managing escalations and executing projects.
- Stay updated on industry trends and propose enhancements to elevate service delivery and client outcomes.
