Must:

- Over 7 years of progressively responsible experience in data engineering, extraction, management, or similar technical roles.
- Proven experience leading intricate data projects and cross-functional initiatives.
- Strongly preferred: prior client-facing or consulting experience.
- Experience with enterprise databases, ERP systems, or extensive structured data environments is required.
- Prior management or team leadership experience is a plus.
- Advanced understanding of SQL and relational database systems.
- Proficient in Python and/or other scripting languages.
- Familiarity with ETL tools and modern data processing platforms.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- Expertise in project and stakeholder management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of data lifecycle management and quality principles.
- Capable of handling large, complex datasets across diverse formats and systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Preferred: experience with automation strategies and process improvement.
- Implementation experience with major ERP systems is advantageous.
- Knowledge of agile project management methodologies is a bonus.
- Experience with governmental data sources or regulated environments is preferred.
- Background in property tax or related fields is a plus.
- A valid drivers license is required.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy, design, and execution of data acquisition, extraction, normalization, and analytics solutions.
- Oversee the entire data lifecycle, guaranteeing efficient and high-quality data processes across various systems and formats.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams in Data Acquisition, Delivery, Consulting, and Technology to align data solutions with business goals.
- Encourage operational excellence, automation, and ongoing enhancement of data processes.
- Foster a positive team environment through leadership, mentorship, and professional growth opportunities.
- Provide direct oversight, including goal setting, performance evaluations, coaching, workload distribution, and career development planning.
- Enhance team capabilities through technical guidance, training, and sharing knowledge.
- Promote collaboration among Data Acquisition, Extraction, Delivery, Consulting, and Technology teams for optimal alignment and efficiency.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and skills development initiatives to elevate team performance.
- Work with internal stakeholders and external clients to define data requirements and develop solution strategies.
- Ensure the successful acquisition, extraction, validation, and delivery of data for client engagements.
- Validate data accuracy and completeness across various ERP systems and other data sources.
- Manage intricate data initiatives, timelines, and communication with stakeholders to guarantee timely high-quality outputs.
- Tackle escalated data issues and offer strategic advice on data challenges.
- Direct the end-to-end data processing lifecycle, encompassing acquisition, transformation, normalization, validation, and deployment.
- Supervise the development and implementation of scalable data extraction and automation tools.
- Set data quality standards, governance practices, and efficiency improvements to enhance operational performance.
- Provide technical oversight for large-scale data processing using contemporary database technologies and ETL frameworks.
- Promote initiatives for continuous improvement, focusing on automation, reduced manual effort, and improved delivery timelines.
- Utilize agile project management methodologies to track progress, mitigate risks, and report status to leadership.
- Ensure that data solutions align with broader business strategies and client service objectives.
