Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors or masters degree in business administration, risk management, information systems, or a related field
- 5-7 years of experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, risk management, or related fields
- Experience conducting Business Impact Analyses (BIA), risk assessments, and continuity planning
- Managerial or program leadership experience preferred with at least one year
- Experience in coordinating crisis management or incident response activities
- Familiarity with IT disaster recovery concepts, infrastructure, and cloud environments
- Experience with business continuity tools and planning platforms is advantageous
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements for operational resilience
- Knowledge of frameworks like ISO 22301, NIST, or similar standards is preferred
- Experience integrating business continuity with enterprise risk management and cybersecurity programs is preferred
- Accredited certifications such as CBCP, MBCI, CRISC, or CISM are a plus
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
- Familiarity with continuity planning or GRC platforms is advantageous
Responsibilities
- Cultivate a positive experience for team members
- Lead business continuity team initiatives, including planning, testing, and response activities
- Provide guidance and expertise in business continuity, crisis management, and resilience planning
- Collaborate with the Vice President of Risk and Governance to enhance our business continuity program
- Foster a culture of resilience and preparedness throughout the organization
- Build relationships across various departments to promote awareness of business continuity
- Collaborate with business units to identify critical processes and ensure effective continuity strategies
- Ensure that continuity capabilities protect our client commitments during disruptions
- Develop, implement, and maintain our Business Continuity Management (BCM) program
- Conduct Business Impact Analyses and risk assessments to pinpoint critical functions and recovery needs
- Coordinate and lead business continuity testing exercises, including tabletop and simulation tests
- Analyze test outcomes and drive continuous improvements through corrective measures
- Establish and uphold crisis management and incident response procedures for business interruptions
- Ensure that continuity plans are documented, maintained, and compliant with business and regulatory standards
- Work with IT to align business continuity with disaster recovery objectives
- Evaluate vendor continuity capabilities as part of third-party risk management
- Report metrics on program maturity, risks, and testing results to leadership
- Assist in selecting and implementing business continuity tools and technologies
- Support initiatives related to governance, risk management, and resilience
- Help develop and implement policies ensuring operational resilience and compliance
- Coordinate during actual disruption events, ensuring effective recovery communications
- Manage projects related to continuity and provide expertise for broader initiatives
- Undertake additional tasks or projects as needed
