Requirements
Must:
- Over 15 years of project management experience in IT software deployment projects.
- Demonstrated ability to independently deliver 5 or more complex, multi-phase critical projects.
- In-depth understanding of PMO frameworks, governance structures, and project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Smartsheet.
- Strong proficiency in risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and strategic problem-solving.
- Capability to adopt a holistic view while addressing important project specifics.
- Outstanding leadership, stakeholder engagement, and communication competencies.
- Project management certifications such as PMP or SCM are advantageous.
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure and systems integration is a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the complete execution of intricate, multi-phase IT software deployment initiatives.
- Create and uphold detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Engage in stakeholder communication, including executive updates and issue escalation.
- Implement and maintain PMO best practices, governance, and reporting structures using platforms like Jira, Confluence, and Smartsheet.
- Proactively pinpoint and address risks to ensure business continuity and project success.
- Employ a comprehensive project management approach, considering all aspects of scope, risks, resources, and stakeholder effects.
- Cultivate strong collaboration among business teams, IT stakeholders, vendors, and leadership for smooth execution.
- Innovate creative solutions to navigate project challenges and achieve successful results.
- Provide executive-level updates, clearly communicating progress, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Oversee system integration, testing methodologies, and deployment strategies.
- Lead change management initiatives to facilitate the seamless adoption of new systems and processes.
- This assignment is estimated to last six months.
Description
We are seeking a seasoned project manager to join our team at the Friedkin Corporate Campus. This role may involve occasional travel to our Vehicle Processing Center in North Houston or our Parts Distribution Center in Sealy, TX.
