Senior QA Engineer - Automation and Testing

- Transition manual testing to reliable automation for a consumer-facing IVR that supports our contact centers - Design, develop, and execute automated tests while also performing targeted manual QA where automation is not feasible - Ensure high-quality user experiences, accurate call flows, reliable integrations, and ongoing quality coverage during the SDLC - Create and maintain a robust automation framework with a quality-first mentality - Build and run automated test suites using Cyara, Selenium, JavaScript, and GitHub, incorporating CI/CD integration and environment orchestration - Conduct manual functional, exploratory, regression, and integration testing for IVR, telephony, CTI, API, and UI components when automation is not yet available - Document test scenarios, test cases, acceptance criteria, and QA stories aligned with sprint increments - Validate call flow logic, routing behavior, error handling, usability, and system integrations across voice and digital channels - Test APIs manually and through automated scripts using tools like Postman or Swagger - Report defects with detailed reproduction steps and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure effective fixes and retesting - Engage in end-to-end testing efforts across multiple systems and product areas - Support UAT cycles, prepare testing data, and assist in root cause analysis - Develop and maintain requirement traceability matrices, ensuring thorough test coverage - Contribute to test strategy, metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives - Advocate for best practices in coded test frameworks, engage in code reviews, and manage test assets in source control - Communicate risks, issues, and blockers that may affect project timelines
