System Administrator - Windows/Linux

- 3-5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator - Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently or collaboratively - Strong creativity in problem-solving to meet department objectives - Excellent customer service skills - Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at varying technical levels - Experience with Linux (REDHAT) and Windows Operating Systems - Knowledge in configuring and deploying desktop/laptop computers and peripherals - Capability to maintain current project and architecture documentation - Experience in inventory management and upkeep of maintenance records - Skills in monitoring system resources for potential anomalies - Proficiency in resolving user-resource connection issues - Strong record-keeping abilities, particularly for change history - Familiarity with cybersecurity controls and threat mitigation strategies - Effective time and resource management skills - Understanding of provisioning, configuration, operation, and maintenance of computer systems - Ability to adhere to policies, standards, and guidelines set by the Commonwealth - Experience in systems administration engineering, operations, support, and R&D - Knowledge of daily system monitoring, backup operations, and security protocols - Expertise in applying OS patches, upgrading tools, and configuring new services - Understanding of GIS and Asset Management applications - Skills in performance reporting and capacity planning
