Must:
- Current professional experience with ASP.NET
- Proficient in C# programming language
- Hands-on experience with MVC framework
- Background in analyzing and addressing security concerns for applications developed in various programming languages
- Practical knowledge of Oracle SQL
- Familiarity with Web Services
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities
- Strong problem-solving skills for complex programming challenges
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related IT field
- Understanding of EDI file formats
- Experience in the Health Industry
Responsibilities
- Analyze existing applications at the Indiana Department of Health (IDOH) and develop new web applications
- Collaborate with the project manager, fellow developers, business analysts, and functional team members throughout project activities
- Participate in the full development life cycle, including requirements analysis and design
- Work with technical and functional staff to gather detailed business requirements and comprehensively understand business processes and technology
- Draft technical specifications based on conceptual designs and specified business requirements
- Utilize object-oriented methods and best practices for design, development, unit testing, and application deployment
- Develop code and create unit testing strategies and plans
- Use the Microsoft .NET Framework and MVC framework for application development
- Coordinate with the Project Manager to maintain the project plan and ensure milestones are achieved
- Collaborate with PM, technical staff, and end users to prototype, refine, test, and debug applications to meet user needs
- Work independently with minimal supervision and engage with external partners as necessary
- Integrate agency web applications architecture and business decisions into design considerations
- Perform requirements analysis, thoroughly document findings, and communicate results to the EDI and program teams
- Ensure precise and appropriate file exchanges with external trading partners, addressing and resolving EDI data transmission issues
- Provide helpdesk support for EDI claim transactions
