Requirements
Must:
- Experience in FHIR interoperability and related public health projects
- Strong understanding of HL7 standards and interoperability frameworks
- Proven ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, including IT and health departments
- Effective communication skills for coordination and presentation tasks
- Background in health informatics or related fields
- Willingness to travel in-state and potentially out-of-state
Responsibilities
- Coordinate FHIR interoperability projects and support associated activities
- Collaborate with subject matter experts within OIA and other divisions
- Advance and promote FHIR to enhance interface compatibility across TDH
- Contribute to strategic FHIR-specific initiatives and build agency readiness
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive TDH FHIR roadmap
- Support HL7 Helios FHIR Accelerator projects and data priorities
- Enhance EDI Interoperability Infrastructure aligned with data modernization
- Participate in various informatics projects related to system integration and reporting
- Provide assistance in emergency response situations when required
Description
We are the Tennessee Department of Healths Office of Informatics and Analytics, located in Nashville, Tennessee. We are seeking a FHIR Interoperability Specialist to lead public health interoperability efforts, engaging in a dynamic and collaborative environment. This role offers exposure to various informatics projects, the opportunity to develop standards, and potential presentation experiences. Join us for a 12-month contract as we work towards advancing healthcare technology together.
