Requirements

Must:
- A Master’s degree in data science, statistics, computer/information science, or a related field is required. - At least 5 years of hands-on experience in advanced analytics (AI/ML) with demonstrated expertise in AWS and Azure cloud environments. - A proven record of developing and implementing AI/ML/NLP/LLM models, automation solutions, and analytics pipelines. - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Scala, along with relevant libraries and frameworks. - Expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, ggplot, seaborn). - Strong problem-solving skills, excellent interpersonal abilities, and proficient written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce detailed documentation and persuasive presentations. - Experience in creating compelling demos to showcase advanced analytics capabilities to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Prior experience in healthcare analytics, research, and consulting is highly desirable. - A valid Green Card or U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

- I will lead AI/ML initiatives and project teams, engaging directly with senior-level stakeholders at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). - I will drive AI/ML growth by actively participating in business development, strategic planning, proposal writing, and creating engaging AI/ML demos and presentations. - I will gather and manage technical and business requirements from VA stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project objectives. - I will design, build, deploy, and maintain advanced AI/ML/NLP/LLM applications using AWS and Azure, following best practices for model lifecycle management. - I will develop and optimize diagnostic and predictive models (such as logistic regression, random forests, decision trees) by leveraging large healthcare datasets and applying statistical methods. - I will operationalize models in AWS/Azure and other analytics platforms (for instance, Databricks), integrating them into workflows while ensuring ease of use, accuracy, scalability, and compliance with healthcare standards. - I will conduct comprehensive data acquisition, profiling, cleansing, exploratory data analysis (EDA), and validation to ensure data quality and integrity. - I will clearly communicate and present analytical results, insights, and recommendations to varied audiences through business proposals, written reports, white papers, and executive presentations. - I will manage relationships with VA clients, participate in project management review meetings, and mentor personnel working on AI/ML projects.
