Requirements
Must:
- UNIX/Linux/Solaris experience along with system administration expertise.
- Previous experience in a Network or Service Operations Center, with skills in technical troubleshooting and customer support.
- Familiarity with monitoring systems and understanding of ticket management, incident resolution, and escalation processes.
- Knowledge of IT service operations and management, specifically in a technical support environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications Suite and SharePoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills along with effective documentation abilities.
- Understanding of ITIL standards, ServiceNow, Testing, Number Portability, Telecommunications, and Networking is beneficial.
- Personal attributes should include being a team player, having good organizational skills, a focus on customer and quality, high motivation, initiative, and independent working capability.
- An Associate degree or equivalent experience in a technology-related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Ability to work 24x7 rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the health and performance of production and test environment application platforms for alarms and connectivity issues across systems, applications, databases, and networks.
- Manage alarm events and technical application problems by creating, modifying, troubleshooting, and closing trouble tickets, as well as routing issues to the appropriate teams.
- Execute assigned operational maintenance tasks daily, weekly, and monthly.
- Conduct basic system administration tasks such as alarm detection and correlation, error log reviews, trace data analysis, and system sanity testing.
- Assist with platform maintenance and testing initiatives as needed.
- Support project tasks, requirements, and other operational deliverables as requested.
- Strictly follow established Methods and Procedures (M&P) and Protocols for Operations Center personnel.
- Create and maintain operational and technical documentation for all Operations initiatives, including M&Ps and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Attend staff meetings and training seminars without fail.
- Complete the NOC Certification Training Curriculum successfully.

We are seeking a dedicated NOC I Engineer to ensure the health and integrity of our service platform through robust monitoring of systems, applications, networks, security, and databases. This role is pivotal within our Network Security Operations Center (NSOC) as a core member of the service solution monitoring team. In addition to monitoring, you will provide essential support to our Customer Service and Operations Engineering teams, aiding in troubleshooting issues and managing performance data. We are located in Bridgewater, New Jersey, and Richardson, TX, with flexible shift requirements to maintain our 24/7 operation.
