Requirements
Must:
- Proficient and experienced with AutoCAD for designing cabinets and millwork products
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications such as Excel
- Exceptional communication abilities, encompassing visual, written, and verbal skills
- In-depth understanding of millwork or construction production materials and techniques, with the ability to interpret floor plans, architecture drawings, and rough sketches
- Detail-oriented with effective time management and organizational abilities
- Basic mathematical skills and capability to read a tape measure
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- At least a high school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience utilizing various modeling software to create accurate layouts and machining files for commercial cabinetry and retail fixtures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare precise 3D models and production-ready drawings for our millwork product lines
- Maintain a well-organized digital file structure according to the Engineering Managers directives
- Interpret architectural layouts and various design documents using a range of modeling software to produce high-quality machining files
- Develop detailed shop drawings through modeling tools
- Provide installation guidance and shop direction regarding construction methods
- Communicate effectively to resolve scheduling issues, erroneous drawings, change requests, and software requirements with relevant team members
- Stay updated on the latest design software, including Cabinet Vision, and participate in company training sessions as needed
- Adhere to the standards and workflows set by the Engineering Manager while contributing to their improvement
- Perform additional duties as directed by management.
