Requirements
Must:
- Over 15 years of experience in software development utilizing object-oriented programming and scripting languages (C++, Ada, Python, etc.)
- Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution
- Strong proficiency in coding and debugging, with a solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
- More than 2 years of demonstrated technical leadership, successfully establishing vision, guiding teams, monitoring progress, and providing mentorship
- Capacity to collaborate effectively with software developers, systems engineers, test engineers, technical writers, and end users
- In-depth knowledge of software development methodologies and processes
- Must be available to work onsite in Huntsville, AL
- Must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher
Responsibilities
- Design and develop software solutions to support Air and Missile Defense systems
- Lead and mentor a team of software developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, coding, testing, and deployment
- Analyze and enhance existing software systems for improved performance and reliability
- Document software requirements, architecture, and design specifications
- Engage in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and quality standards
