Requirements
Must:
- I possess a BSCS, BSEE, MSEE, MSCS, or a related technical degree, complemented by over 8 years of expertise in crafting and developing highly scalable distributed platforms and services as well as internet-scale web applications.
- I have extensive hands-on experience in Java, Spring Framework, Caching, GraphQL, Design Patterns, OOA/D, Data Structures, REST, JSON, and Internet Protocols.
- I am proficient in programming languages such as Java or Scala, and have a solid foundation in data structures and algorithms, as well as a strong grasp of multithreading, synchronization, and concurrent programming. I understand system design deeply and am capable of leading projects to successful completion.
- I possess solid knowledge and experience with relational databases (like Oracle) and/or NoSQL technologies (including MongoDB, Cassandra, Couchbase), Elasticsearch, and related tools.
- I have experience driving architectural discussions, producing well-documented design documents, participating in design and code reviews, and contributing to coding and unit testing of fault-tolerant applications. I am comfortable navigating all layers of multi-tier applications to design complete solutions and maintain products.
- I have experience with non-functional skills such as Security, Load and Performance Testing, Accessibility, Site Speed optimization, and Cross-browser/Cross-platform UX Design.
Responsibilities
- I am responsible for a functional domain to design distributed, fault-tolerant, highly available and performant web services and web applications. I will utilize software architecture design, object-oriented analysis/design (OOA/D) skills, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- I own major projects and features from the design phase through coding, testing, deployment, and support.
- I estimate engineering efforts, plan implementations, and roll out system changes while identifying technical risks and recommending mitigations.
- I implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and Git.
