Field System Engineer - North Atlanta

- Manage customer service demands by promptly addressing needs and conducting installations, maintenance, and repairs to ensure instruments function correctly. - Develop trust with clients, advocate for service agreements, and identify potential sales opportunities for our teams. - Collaborate with service and support teams to drive revenue through billable offerings such as preventive maintenance. - Attend product training sessions, which will require travel, within the first year and as necessary thereafter. - Undertake scheduled and unscheduled customer visits, including potential overnight stays and national travel for support. - Engage in on-call support during weekends and holidays, which may require local or national travel. - Accurately document service work orders, quality assurance checklists, and any required training information. - Keep an updated availability calendar and regularly submit travel expense reports to ensure compliance. - Adhere to company policies concerning fleet vehicle use and maintenance. - Oversee spare parts inventory and ensure all equipment is maintained in accordance with company policies. - Pursue continual professional development, improving technical skills while fostering collaboration with sales and applications teams. - Represent bioMerieux at trade shows and provide insights to enhance our service capabilities while ensuring compliance with quality standards. - Fulfill additional duties as assigned.
