Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Cyber Security, Computer or Electrical Engineering (or a related field) with 8+ years of experience in security
- Extensive background in security testing across diverse environments, particularly in web applications, native applications, distributed systems, and cloud frameworks such as AWS
- Strong knowledge of software security architecture, design, threat modeling, secure code review, cryptography, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Hands-on experience with AWS and its common service components, with the ability to identify security vulnerabilities in both design and configuration
- In-depth understanding of network-based, system-level, and application-layer attacks, along with effective mitigation strategies
- Proficient in technology and security subjects including network and application security standards (OWASP), infrastructure hardening, security baselines, web server and database security, and applied cryptography
- Development experience in programming languages such as Java is essential
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin is a plus, though not mandatory
Responsibilities
- Act as a security subject matter expert, guiding engineering teams in the comprehensive design and execution of secure systems, particularly focusing on Platform services and related components
- Conduct threat modeling, architecture assessments, security code reviews, security evaluations, and testing across web applications, native applications, cloud-based services, and infrastructure
- Review cloud infrastructure from a security viewpoint, primarily addressing AWS permissions and configuration within components like IAM and S3
- Execute detailed security assessments of new features and functionalities at Zoom, identifying vulnerabilities based on OWASP Top Ten, NVD common issues, and risks such as Remote Code Execution (RCE)
- Analyze the current cloud security architecture for gaps and recommend enhancements regarding authentication, authorization, network segmentation, container configuration, and bastion host setups
- Deliver hands-on security training and promote secure coding practices to engineering teams
