Requirements
Must:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Linux/UNIX administration
- At least 3 years of experience in a highly regulated health care setting (HIPAA compliance)
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in scripting and automation
- 3+ years of experience working in a hybrid Linux and Windows environment within a VMWare or similar cloud-based setting
- Preferred experience with RedHat-based Linux
- Familiarity with SaltStack or other configuration management tools like Ansible or Puppet
- Knowledge of GIT and logging solutions such as Splunk or Elasticsearch
- Understanding of software-defined networking concepts
- Relevant Linux certifications (RHCT, RHCE, or equivalent)
Responsibilities
- Administer Linux/UNIX environments, ensuring optimal performance and security
- Implement and manage automation scripts primarily using Shell or Python
- Support and maintain both Windows and Linux systems in a mixed environment
- Utilize VMWare or other cloud platforms for virtualization tasks
- Employ configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or SaltStack for streamlined operations
- Monitor system performance and log activities to detect issues using tools such as Splunk or ELK stack
- Troubleshoot and fine-tune systems to enhance performance and reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate efficient project execution
