Requirements
Must:
- Over 8 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or secure systems engineering; 3+ years in technical leadership or program management.
- Demonstrated success in delivering technical software or network projects from inception through deployment, maintenance, and support.
- Strong technical knowledge of networking protocols and architectures (TLS/SSH/IPsec, routing/segmentation, service mesh/mTLS) and proficiency in one or more programming languages (Go, Rust, Java, Python).
- Comprehensive understanding of cryptography and PKI (certificates, CAs, HSMs/KMS, key lifecycles) along with modern cloud security practices.
- Proven experience collaborating with interdisciplinary R&D teams and managing cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer/Network Engineering, IT, or a related field.
Plus:
- Hands-on experience with PQC (e.g., migration planning, algorithm agility, library selection) and/or quantum key distribution (QKD) evaluations.
- Familiarity with cryptography-focused libraries/applications (e.g., OpenSSL/BoringSSL, liboqs), HSM/KMS, and enterprise scale certificate management.
- Background in implementing emerging technologies (AI, blockchain, quantum) in regulated sectors (finance, telecom, high-tech).
- Experience with cloud architecture (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform), key management strategies, and secure deployment pipelines (Kubernetes, service mesh).
- Knowledge of secure software development, digital forensics, or penetration testing, along with associated control frameworks.
- Advanced degree in CS/CE/IT or related field; certifications like CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CEH, OSCP (or similar) are advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Directly enhance and oversee the execution of a multi-year quantum-safe strategy encompassing PQC migration, algorithm agility, key management modernization, and quantum-safe networking.
- Manage collaboration between cybersecurity and technology teams to maintain the crypto inventory (protocols, libraries, certificates, keys, HSMs, KMS, embedded/IoT) with a risk-based prioritization for remediation.
- Work alongside platform and product teams to upgrade TLS/SSH/IPsec stacks, facilitate algorithm agility, and adopt vetted PQC libraries and configurations.
- Align project outcomes with industry best practices and internal cyber/tech controls while leading policy updates concerning crypto agility, key lifecycles, and certificate governance.
- Assist in documenting and providing evidence for risk management, control validation, and accreditation efforts with GRC.
- Collaborate with vendors and partners (HSM/KMS, PKI, networking, cloud) to evaluate quantum-safe capabilities; manage RFPs/POCs and oversee deliverables.
- Develop and maintain a strategy for third-party PQC assurance (vendors and customers) focusing on capability proof, PQC readiness, and ongoing evaluations.
- Partner with the Cyber Threat Intelligence team to conduct regular risk assessments and analyses for management based on the changing landscape of quantum computing, threats, capabilities, and risks.
- Establish and monitor program KPIs: crypto inventory coverage, PQC adoption rate, TLS posture remediation, key lifecycle compliance, lab audit pass rates, and incident reduction.
