Requirements
Must:
- 6+ years of experience in engineering disciplines or closely related fields.
- Professional expertise in at least one primary programming language, framework, or infrastructure area (preferably Python, Java, Containers, Cloud).
- Proven supervisory or management experience is essential.
- Experience in project management and modernization projects is required.
- Advanced knowledge throughout the DevOps lifecycle, with a strong grasp of at least one segment.
- Familiarity with automation through CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong project and time management, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Ability to make independent decisions, prioritize tasks, and perform under pressure.
- Demonstrated capability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues effectively.
- Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is necessary.
- A combination of relevant education and experience may fulfill requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee engineering teams in the design, development, and deployment of innovative infrastructure projects using contemporary engineering practices (IaC).
- Guide the team in adopting cloud principles and cloud-based infrastructure solutions.
- Fulfill a dual role as both a leader and a hands-on technical contributor.
- Manage modernization initiatives utilizing Python, Containers, Cloud, and Java technologies.
- Serve as the primary contact for ongoing projects needing technical resources.
- Plan, coordinate, and direct software and infrastructure development in alignment with PMO Project Delivery Process (SDLC).
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring compliance with financial protocols and timelines.
- Guarantee the safety, integrity, and compliance of produced products with internal policies and regulations.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and offer expert guidance on engineering standards.
- Assess project results, pinpoint issues, and suggest corrective measures when necessary.
- Responsible for recruiting, performance evaluation, and staff development.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
