Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Management Information Systems, Accounting Information Systems, Computer Science, or related IT field.
- Masters Degree is preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CPA, or CIA are advantageous.
- At least seven years of experience in IT audit, IT development, internal audit, public accounting, finance, or information systems.
- Minimum of four years experience in leading audit teams and executing audit plans.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of critical IT processes including Disaster Recovery, IT Security, Software Licensing, and Third Party Hosted Services.
- Understanding of internal audit standards (IIA Standards, COSO) and IT control frameworks (COBIT, NIST, SANS, ISO).
- Familiarity with operating systems like IBM Mainframe/RACF, AIX; databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, Informix; and ERP systems like SAP, SAP HANA, JDE.
- Experience with risk assessments and enterprise risk management is a plus.
- Background in developing and leading data analytics programs is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Leading a team of auditors for IT audits and various advisory and assurance initiatives.
- Cultivating a talented team of IT auditors through mentoring and supportive development activities.
- Creating an annual IT audit plan targeting high-risk and significant projects based on independent research and data.
- Conducting pre- and post-implementation audits for new system rollouts, ERP expansion, and application developments.
- Reviewing key system functionalities and systematic controls.
- Collaborating with management to identify and implement improvements in processes and control effectiveness.
- Acting as a liaison with IT management to offer ongoing advisory support for system implementations and key IT ventures (e.g., IT security, BCDR).
- Assessing the design and execution of IT general controls and application controls for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with management, external auditors, and partners to enhance company knowledge and audit skills.
Description
We are a dynamic organization located in New Brunswick, New Jersey, looking for a Lead IT Auditor to join our team on a contract basis. We offer a collaborative work environment and the opportunity to engage with critical IT and business leadership in managing audit operations. You will contribute significantly to our risk mitigation strategies while staying informed about operational changes and emerging technologies. This position will require you to work three days a week onsite at the client office, immersing yourself in key IT initiatives and priorities.
