Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree preferred, but we welcome enthusiastic candidates with a high school diploma or self-taught experience
- Strong understanding of technical support principles for both hardware and software troubleshooting
- Proficiency with operating systems including Windows and macOS; basic knowledge of Linux is advantageous
- Familiarity with computer networking concepts such as LAN, TCP/IP protocols, DNS, VPNs, and firewalls
- Experience in desktop support functions across various devices including computers, mobile devices, and printers
- Excellent communication skills to articulate technical issues to non-technical users
- Analytical skills to effectively diagnose problems and propose suitable solutions
Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support to staff for hardware, software, and network-related issues, ensuring rapid problem resolution
- Troubleshoot software applications, including Microsoft Office and other productivity tools, to efficiently resolve user challenges
- Assist in computer management tasks such as setting up and maintaining desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals
- Support network administration activities, including managing LAN, VPN, DNS, firewall configurations, and network security systems
- Help monitor and maintain our IT infrastructure components, including Windows Server environments, Linux systems, and Cloud-based services
- Support a multi-facility network of Windows and Macintosh workstations
- Collaborate with our team and external IT service providers to assist in deploying and managing hardware and software updates
