Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Over 5 years of experience in application engineering within LV/MV power distribution or switchgear.
- Proficient in interpreting electrical schematics, protection curves, and coordination studies.
- Strong understanding of arc interruption, trip unit functionality, and electromechanical protection systems.
- Excellent communication skills for direct interactions with OEMs and engineering clients.
- Hands-on experience with vacuum interrupters, MCCB/MCB circuit breakers, RCD/GFCI breakers, and other related technologies is essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical application support for low and medium voltage circuit breakers, vacuum interrupters, contactors, and switchgear components.
- Guide customers in the selection of appropriate products, coordination of protection, and system design.
- Collaborate with OEMs, panel builders, utilities, and switchgear engineering teams for integration, application assessment, and issue resolution.
- Review and apply relevant standards, including UL 489, UL 508, IEC 60947, and IEEE C37.
- Lead or assist in application testing, validation, and customer qualification procedures.
- Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Product Management, and Sales on both new and existing product applications.
- Prepare technical documentation, such as application notes, data sheets, and reports for customers.
