Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is mandatory.
- At least four (4) years of extensive experience in a network engineering role is required.
- Proficiency with network solutions from providers such as Cisco, Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE)/Aruba, and Meraki is essential.
- Familiarity with Palo Alto Firewall Management and F5 Load Balancers is a plus.
- Previous experience in Network Access Control and Software Defined Networks is desirable.
- Demonstrable experience in documenting network procedures and system designs is necessary.
- Relevant experience may be accepted in place of formal educational requirements.
- Professional certifications may substitute for educational qualifications if relevant to IT.
Responsibilities
- Partner with departmental leaders and IT architecture to effectively integrate new systems into our network in accordance with established standards.
- Identify and outline the best upgrade and improvement strategies for our network systems and assist with their implementation.
- Troubleshoot, resolve, and communicate daily network-related issues.
- Keep continual track of network products, services, and industry benchmarks, sharing insights with fellow engineers.
- Oversee the monitoring, alert, and analytics systems for the relevant network setups.
- Engage in proactive monitoring and validate the performance of network and communication systems.
- Collaborate with other engineers and architecture teams on designing and deploying the enterprise network framework.
- Analyze and address complex network challenges promptly and efficiently.
- Develop and maintain documentation for network configurations, mapping, processes, and service records.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
