Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree is mandatory.
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in project management is essential.
- Relevant experience may substitute for minimum educational requirements.
- Proven experience in requirements gathering and development is critical.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to simplify complex terminology for non-technical audiences and executives.
- Capacity to foster a positive and professional relationship with internal and external clients and service providers.
- Basic understanding of system and software architecture is beneficial.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
- ITIL (Foundation or higher) certification is preferred.
- A valid drivers license and vehicle insurance are required for regular commuting between locations, though Tribe-owned vehicles will not be operated.
Responsibilities
- Lead project management duties in line with established IT and PMO methodologies.
- Continually manage and set project expectations, updates, and deliverables with team members and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project sponsors to develop, document, and approve formal business requirements to guide project execution.
- Define the project scope, goals, and deliverables that align with enterprise objectives in partnership with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop a communication strategy that includes timely project status updates and effectively convey project expectations to team members as well as stakeholders.
- Oversee vendor management during project execution, ensuring all labor and deliverables are tracked and aligned with internal project plans.
- Plan and arrange project timelines and milestones utilizing appropriate tools.
- Assess and manage project risks collaboratively with team members, including developing mitigation strategies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support efficient departmental operations.
