Requirements
Must:
- Associates degree or I.T. certificate with at least 3 years of relevant experience in technical support, or
- High school diploma/GED with at least 5 years of relevant experience in technical support
- Intermediate working knowledge of server and systems administration
- Current industry certification preferred in technology like Cisco, Nutanix, VMWare, Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, Office365, or Microsoft Server Technologies
- Valid Drivers License and proof of auto liability insurance coverage
Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot server performance issues, resolving problems swiftly
- Enhance system performance and suggest new processes, tools, equipment upgrades, and enhancements
- Understand system architecture to boost efficiencies; write scripts or use automation techniques for system management
- Analyze system configurations and provide enhancement recommendations
- Manage server operating environments; research and implement configuration changes
- Ensure proper and reliable system backup procedures are in place
- Conduct capacity planning to guarantee adequate resources for current and expected workloads
- Collaborate with the Security team to maintain system security and apply necessary patches
- Keep technical documentation for all server and infrastructure systems updated
- Coordinate all system upgrades, modifications, or changes collaboratively
- Develop project plans with clearly defined scope, milestones, and deliverables to achieve project objectives
- Assist with budgeting and procurement processes, including cost/benefit analyses
- Perform additional duties as needed
