Requirements

Must:
- Associates degree or I.T. certification with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience supporting end users in a complex technical environment and intermediate knowledge of servers and systems. - Alternatively, a high school diploma/GED with at least 5 years of professional experience in a similar role and intermediate server and systems knowledge. - Current industry certification in technologies such as Cisco, Nutanix, VMWare, Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, Office365, or Microsoft Server Technologies is desirable. - Valid Drivers License and proof of auto liability insurance coverage. - Proficient understanding of hardware/software troubleshooting, IP network design, system/server performance monitoring, and capacity planning. - Familiarity with modern infrastructure technologies including M365, Microsoft Azure, Hyperconverged platforms, Enterprise Backup and Recovery, Mobile Device Management, and Identity and Access management fundamentals. - Strong understanding of traditional infrastructure components such as Windows Server OS and Networking. - Excellent documentation skills for system designs and processes; ability to handle projects efficiently and maintain relationships across all organizational levels. - Capability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. - Strong communication and customer service skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. - Basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

- Oversee the monitoring, analysis, and troubleshooting of server performance issues, resolving them swiftly. - Enhance system performance and propose new processes, tools, and upgrades. - Comprehend system architecture to optimize efficiencies, utilizing scripts and automation techniques for improved management. - Evaluate system configuration and suggest enhancements. - Manage server environments and execute configuration changes as needed. - Ensure proper system backups are in place and functioning effectively. - Conduct capacity planning to ensure adequate system resources for current and future workloads. - Collaborate with the Security team to maintain system security and install necessary security measures, applying patches and monitoring for security incidents. - Develop and maintain technical documentation for all server and infrastructure systems, updating the library with any changes. - Coordinate system upgrades, modifications, and changes collaboratively. - Create project plans encompassing scope, milestones, and deliverables to achieve project goals and timelines. - Aid in budgeting and procurement, including cost/benefit analysis. - Perform other assigned duties as necessary.
