Engineering Specialist

- High School diploma or comparable experience in a hotel or a related field is mandatory. - A minimum of three years of progressive experience in a hotel or related sector is preferred. - Trade school or college coursework in a relevant field is a plus. - Previous supervisory experience is essential. - Flexibility and the ability to work long hours may be required. - Ability to exert over 100 pounds of force occasionally, over 50 pounds frequently, and over 20 pounds consistently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move items. - Maintain a warm and approachable demeanor consistently. - Effective verbal and written communication skills with employees and guests at all levels in a friendly and service-oriented manner. - Ability to listen to, comprehend, and address concerns raised by employees and guests. - Capability to multitask and prioritize departmental tasks to meet deadlines. - Approach all interactions with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-focused manner. - Required to attend all hotel meetings and training sessions. - Regular attendance in line with Highgate Hotel standards is necessary, adjusted according to hotel needs. - Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the appropriate uniform and nametag. - Compliance with Highgate Hotel standards and regulations to foster safe and efficient hotel operations is required. - Strive to maximize productivity, identify problem areas, and aid in implementing solutions. - Effectively handle problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving issues as needed. - Ability to understand and apply complex information and data from multiple sources to achieve goals. - Cross-training in other hotel-related areas is expected. - Maintain confidentiality of information. - Show initiative by anticipating guest or operational needs. - Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
