Requirements

Must:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline. - 5-7 years of hands-on professional experience in software development. - Demonstrated expertise in at least 6 of the following 11 key technical areas: - Python for backend, data processing, or AI/ML applications. - C++ for high-performance or real-time systems. - Drivers and applications for data control and processing from diverse sensors. - Robotic systems, control algorithms, and ROS2. - AI (Artificial Intelligence) technologies, including ML, deep learning, or computer vision. - Industrial or manufacturing automation settings. - Designing, deploying, and managing applications on AWS (Amazon Web Services). - Developing and implementing automated CI/CD pipelines. - Unreal Engine for simulations or interactive VR applications. - Algorithms and techniques for point cloud processing. - Containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. - A strong commitment to teamwork and collaborative development environments. - Proven experience mentoring and guiding junior engineers. - Excellent problem-solving skills, especially regarding manufacturing issues, along with a keen attention to detail. - Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

- I will design, develop, and implement high-quality, scalable software solutions from initial concept to deployment while contributing to architectural decisions. - I will conduct research and explore innovative methods to tackle challenging technical issues, fostering a creative environment. - I will work closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver state-of-the-art features. - I will write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, actively participating in code reviews to ensure quality and facilitate knowledge sharing. - I will mentor less experienced engineers, sharing insights and fostering a collaborative setting that promotes continuous learning and professional growth. - I will proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software defects and performance bottlenecks, particularly those that affect manufacturing processes. - I will contribute to the development and enhancement of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, driving automation initiatives. - I will create and maintain thorough technical documentation. - I will stay updated on emerging technologies and evaluate new tools to improve development processes.

Description


This position does not entail any direct supervisory responsibilities. I expect candidates to work in a hybrid remote setup based in Pittsburgh, PA. As part of my team, you will occasionally need to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, utilizing proper lifting techniques. While performing your duties, you will typically be seated and frequently use your hands for tasks such as handling and communicating. The noise level in our work environment is usually moderate, and there may be occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts. Please note, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship. This is a full-time role with a salary ranging from $100,000.00 to $123,000.00 annually, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k) matching, health insurance, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more.
